Clusel-Roch Cote-Rotie Les Grandes-Places 2021

This cuvée is produced from the Les Grandes-Places vineyard, planted in 1935 with a low-yielding clone of Syrah called Serine. The wine is fermented with little destemming and aged for two years in 50% new oak and 50% one-year-old oak barrels. It offers a pure expression of the dark mica schist soil, resulting in a dark, slightly smoky, and powerful wine with a muscular tannic structure.
